About The Coffee POD Holders

Designed to be printed on a 200x200mm bed printer this is a collection of Nespresso original coffee pod holder that are designed to be fixed to the inside of a kitchen cabinet door, under a shelf or under a cabinet.

There are three holder sizes quad, double and single column in both Nespresso original and also Phillips L'OR XXL pod sizes.

POD holders for Nespresso Original & L'OR XXL included

As many manufacturers don't label their pods  all holders can be fitted with paper label holders if required.

Holders are simply fixed to cabinet doors with thin double sided tape or can be fixed with screws.

There is also an option to mount under a shelf or under a cabinet in which case the screwed version must be used.

Spare labels are stored in a 3D printed label holder that can be fixed in a convenient location.

Labels

Labels simply slot into the label holder above or in front of each row of PODs and help identify the many PODs that come with no labelling by the manufacturer.

Labels can be plain text and typed into a word template or images made up in a paint package then inserted into a word template.

The completed block of labels is then printed out on photo paper and individual labels are then cut out with a craft knife.

Spare labels are stored in a label holder.

Below a single label cut from a printed template.

Below the labels are made in bulk by inserting them into a Word template.

The template is a simple page containing 40 text boxes that you can fill with basic text or a custom image.

The individual multilayer labels below are included in the download for editing in a paint package.

The labels are then printed on photo paper and simply cut out with a craft knife ready for use.

The label holder is made up of 2 parts and is glued to the cabinet door with double sided tape.

Designing the labels

I have included a blank picture template as well as example labels so you can make your own images.

I just add a background to match the pod colour then type in a description of the pod with it's intensity value.

I copy the pod makers logo from Google and paste it in place.

Once you have a collection of images made up they are simply inserted into the word template.

Below in the Word template right click the picture you want to change select "Fill" then "Picture" select your picture made previously and the picture is filled into the text box.

Fixing POD Holders In Place

Holders are simply glued or screwed in place depending on location/cabinet door style.

Gluing

My cabinets have Shaker style doors and the center sections is too thin for screw fixings.

I used thin clear double sided tape in strips top and bottom, trimming with a craft knife around the cutouts.

Once mounted on the cabinet door I applied a thin bead of hot melt glue on the top edge of the label holder.

Screw Mounting

The under shelf/under cabinet holders are always screwed in place but if you print the screw version of the cabinet door holders they can also be screwed in place.

Use M3 mushroom headed screws to fix the holder in place.

When screwing the under shelf holders to cabinet shelves mount the holder just forward of the shelf so the labels can still be removed.

Mount the holder with the label slots forward of the shelf edge to allow the labels to be slid upwards for changing.

Note on some kitchens especially wall cabinets the shelves are very close to the cabinet doors so when mounting leave a gap where the shelf is to prevent the shelf hitting the coffee pods mounted on the door.
